“BAM! Running Mob: Up Peel St., killer stair workout, 2.2km sprint! ‘Nuff said.”
A short and sweet description of what sounds like a short but tough workout. Thanks Sarah!

“When you have a Texan in town you have to do something special for run club. When it happens to be that Texan’s birthday you have to do something extra special. That is why we went up to the stairs on Mount Royal and after a little bit of active stretching completed as many rounds as possible in 12 minutes of running up and back down the stairs and then performing 10 pushups and 20 situps. Sound easy? Give it a shot…
Big shout out to all those that did this workout. It was short, but crazy intense. Also, thanks to TK for joining us on her birthday!”
Thanks for the post, Dave!

“Endurance training can be fun, even in 40 degree heat! The mob started with a jog around Beaver Lake and progressed into hill runs with a few push-ups mixed in. Then, the group tackled two loops of a loooooong hill and down the stairs! Of course, we had to go back up the stairs (several times) and then we walked & ran through the trails and finished with a scramble up a steep slope!”
Thanks to: David for leading the mob; Reagan for the post and for the great shots. When Reagan isn’t at a mob, she’s honing her photog skills - check her out here.

“One thing I love about weather extremes is that it tends to show who’s truly committed - and this week in Toronto five committed runners ran to beat the heat! Our mob met at the Lululemon store on Queen Street and basically ran a giant rectangle, stopping at the Rogers Centre to do a few stair drills, then returned to the store completely soaked but proud of our effort”.
Thanks to Vince for leading the mob, and to Jonas for the post. You can see the route they ran here.

“To celebrate the rare presence of the sun and warm weather in Edmonton, Alexandra and I decided to go take advantage of the numerous outdoor stairs of the city. We took a look at the Mobster Blog to find a workout to do and got inspired by a previous Spartan bootcamp! We walked with a fast pace and went down a long set of stairs. We did sets of 10 reverse crunchs, 5 push-ups, 10 squats and 5 burpees; then up and down the stairs. We did that complete cycle 3 times!”.
Well done Anne, thanks for the post!
